Good Job Everyone! Here are the Winners!!

College Awards

Best College Level Programming Science Project Award went to Gualberto Hernandez, Michael Souza, Josue Banuelos, Andres Torres, and Jason Ferry for their Robotic Mechanical Hand that was 3D printed with flexible material and responded to muscle flexion of a human test subject.

Second Best College Level Programming Science Project Award to Sydney Cripe with her Text-To-Braille Program, uses both physics and programming to translate typed text into Braille.

Third Best College Level Programming Science Project Award John Renteria with his “Bop it!” Inspired Arduino Game: I’ll provide the algorithm/code and schematic to show that anyone can get into programming with a “Bop it” inspired game that he created. Coding for simple games does not have to be a nightmare!

Best College Level Science Project Award to Trystan Giesbrecht, Ranulfo Tinta, and Gurcharn Dhaliwal for their Tryke that had an ATC 70 engine swap, brake swap, and wheel swap.

Second Best College Level Science Project Award to Good Year 360

High School Awards

Best High School Level Programming Science Project Award went to Megan Phillips and Arianna Ramirez from Buhach Colony High School with their robot that they had to code to complete a task that their robotics teacher, Jorge Alejandro, created for them. It had to pick up a cube and drop it in the drop off zone – the bonus zone for extra points – and then stop in the end zone without hitting the lava or walls.

Second Best High School Level Science Project Award Jesus Hernandez and Jesus Ortiz from Buhach Colony High School for their robot which can be driven around manually and can pick up small objects as well as itself if it falls over in the right direction.

Third Best High School Level Science Project Award Tyler Havel and Jaylon Chamberlain from Buhach Colony High School who “made and coded a robot to complete a task our Robotics/Engineering teacher designed. The goal is for the robot to pick up a cube, place it in the “landing zone” but preferably into smaller “bonus zone”, and finish past the finish line without running into lava, hitting the wall, or putting the block in lava.”

Best High School Level Science Project Award went to Miguel Flores from Hilmar High School with his shirt folding robot.

Second Best High School Level Science Project Award went to Christian Kreuscher from Atwater High School

Third Best High School Level Science Project Award went to Joshua Fitzgerald and Caitlyn Souza from Hilmar High School

We also had many winners for our Raffle for the Entering the Science Fair Raffle
