computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering and acoustical engineering are a few of the fields we will be covering in the STEM engineering field. These links currently take you to the Wikipedia sites for definitions, as we move forward and develop more of this site it will take you instead to the options available at Merced College and the local Universities.

 

To give an example of how complex this is the National Science Foundation list the following fields under Engineering;

• Engineering (bioengineering, environmental systems, civil and mechanical systems, chemical and transport systems, electrical and communications systems, and design and manufacturing)

While the Department of Homeland Security adds several fields for inclusion to allow visas for an extended stay for practical hands on if they graduated from a US school.
